I put wren on the toilet but she didn’t go. As I was almost finished putting her diaper back on, she did the sign for toilet. I put her back on her toilet and she went right away. Its crazy how she can communicate with us.

heather’s boiling of new diapers experiment. it was supposed to prep them to be extra absorbent.
wren can give kisses now. if you ask her “wren can you give mamma a kiss?” she will lean forward toward you with her mouth OPEN and give you a kiss. i think we need to work on kissing with her mouth closed before she starts dating.

Wren is really good at two signs now. She can say milk and toilet. Sometimes she wants both at the same time!

ever since wren was a little sick a few weeks ago, she hasn’t been going to sleep on her own very well. when she was sick, she was all stuffed up and couldn’t fall asleep, so we would walk with her until she did fall asleep. now that she is better she still wants us to do that, it gets very tiring walking her up and down the hall at 2am.
this weekend we tried to get her back to her normal self and be able to fall asleep on her own. we tried to do a graduated ferber-ish method, but she seemed to get just more and more upset each time we went into get her. the first night she took about 45 minutes of off and on crying before she finally fell asleep. it sucks having to listen to her and not go in and pick her up. you feel like you are torturing her. the next day for her nap she took only around 25 minutes of crying to fall asleep. the next nap was even better, she didn’t cry hardly at all but just talked to her self. the only problem is that wren pulled the curtain off the window and into her bed. we aren’t sure if it was the part where she was talking to herself before falling asleep or when she woke up.
this is what we saw when we went to get wren after her nap. we really need a wren cam in her room!
