We were playing out front waiting for the bug guy and Wren went to open the door to the Jetta and said she was going to work.
We've come close, but I think this is the first time we really missed a day! I remembered at midnight one time so technically I guess that counts, but yesterday I totally forgot. Here are yesterday's pictures! It was so sunny wren got to wear flip flops and she was very excited about it (her poor little toes got red so I'm not sure how often we'll get to wear them, but she kept telling me they 'felt good').
I was so grateful that marc sprayed our house for ants and put some ant traps out because I was GOING CRAZY with all the ants! They worked so well for a few days and then we saw a couple ants so marc put more out (as a side note I tried natural methods all last summer with a little success, but there were always more ants popping up). Well TODAY I go downstairs to find a bunch of ants all over… big ants, little ants, dead ants and these huge disgusting flying ants. Marc put some more traps out and hopefully they will all die soon and I can have my kitchen back.
On another scary note. I decided to finally let wren try peanut butter today and she seemed to have a reaction to it. I guess it's more sad than scary… she could still breathe and nothing too bad happened, but I'm staying away from peanuts for a long time now. She got some bumps on her hand almost immediately (from wiping her mouth I'm sure) and then an hour later around her mouth was red and she was itching her red watery eyes like crazy. I called the doctor, but by the time they got back to me she was fine. Marc had rinsed her off pretty good with water and she stopped itching and the bumps on her hand went down. They said to give her benedryl just to be safe so we did. They also referred us to an allergist… I'm hoping it's something she can grow out of…we'll see!
We had fun dying Easter eggs today! We used koolaid because well… we had a ton and I heard you could use it to dye eggs. It worked out good… we only cracked a few and wren had a great time. We used rubber bands on some to create a tie-dye affect which you can almost see the results of in the eating picture. Wren loved eating them! I think it was the first time having hard boiled egg for her.
And last but NOT LEAST!!!!! My sister Sandy got a new computer with a webcam so we were able to skype today! Wren was a little shy, but I know we will be doing it often and she'll get used to seeing her aunt on the computer screen.
Wren just took one of Marc’s shirts out of the closet and told me she was taking a shower.

The lights were on too and it was actually bright in there. Wren had fun and didn't want to leave. She still asks if we can see the giant snowman on the way to and from church… no wren it melted… 'try???'… sure we can look, but it won't be there… 'see snowman?'… nope I don't see it… it must have melted! (sorry no pictures of the ginormous snowman that appears every winter next door to our church…hopefully next year)
Lately anytime I ask wren if we should go somewhere (the park, store, etc.) she looks at me with big eyes and says "wren come????" I laugh everytime. We went to the park this afternoon and wren came too and went in the swing. There were some other kids there and wren got to kick around a soccer ball with another little girl and had a lot of fun.
Wren…. Papa no boobie milk… pits!
I guess people that don’t have boobie milk have arm pits to her.
Today was my little leperchan's birthday and to celebrate marc had a cinnamon crunch bagel for breakfast… i don't know what for lunch…. and I made ribs for dinner… and to top it all off a french silk pie. I thought the pie was amazing, but marc not so much… we are still in search for the perfect madison french silk pie!
I wouldn't let wren buy her Papa a present for his birthday, but we did make him a card. She wanted to get him a magnifying glass that you can hang around your neck, a bra extender and a breast pump…. so he just got a card and lots of yummy food. WE LOVE YOU MARCUS!
I needed to go grocery shopping today and couldn’t decide which one to go to, so I told Wren we needed to go to lots of stores today. She keeps saying over and over…. Lots of stores! …. Lots of stores!
