Someone in my mom's group is throwing a baby shower for a lady who said she wanted to cloth diaper. When I heard this I of course couldn't resist! I made her 3 onesize diaper covers, 5 newborn covers and got her 2 dozen nb prefolds and a pink snappi! I'm so excited! If only I could make it to the shower…
Wren: I’m a dog woof woof… I’m a blue dog…
Me: What makes you want to be a blue dog??
Wren: Papa.
Blue rhino from aunt sandy. Still kissable even without eyes.

Here is wren with the rhinos (they weren't cooperating) and the giraffes. Although, I think her favorite this time were the seals and prairie dogs. Be prepared for more zoo pictures next week.
I started making some more diapers today and was laying out the fabric and trying to see how many of the pattern I can fit on it. Wren got another pattern piece and had to put hers on my fabric too. Then, she decided she had to get her own fabric and tried to lay it out, but was very frustrated that it wouldn't lay flat (no matter how many times she shook it!) so mama had to help her. She then took her pattern and put it on the fabric and kept moving it around like I was. My little diaper maker :)
the song fibber island started playing and wren was like…’oh a good one!’ and then she’s trying to sing with it and instead of island she says ‘love you’ and then she just starts singing ‘love you papa love you papa’? it was very cute!
I told Wren that maybe we could get Chinese for supper….
Wren: Wren like a Chinese
Me: Wren you like Chinese?
Wren: Wren like a Chinese. I like to eat it.
Me: (confused since I don’t think she ever had Chinese food.) What do you like?
Wren: Cheese!!
We went to a 'dream park' in Monona today with tracy and mike. I think wren was a bit overwhelmed at first, but she still had a lot of fun. We had a picnic in the cold, super windy weather… not the best idea… marc was running down the parking lot trying to retrieve a napkin.. stuff was blowing everywhere and I was freezing. I ended up taking a nap in the car after the picnic while everyone else played more.
We went to the Milwaukee County Zoo today to meet up with some of my college friends. Wren took a while to warm up to them, but by the end of the trip she was holding hands with the other little girls and having a lot of fun. We went on the train there… which I thought was her first train ride not even thinking about the el this past summer. The penguins were definitely a highlight.
