hey there

dress up

Wren had a lot of fun playing dress up with Grandma Lynn this morning!

wren wasn't quite awake after her nap today. she missed her nap yesterday, and took over an hour to fall asleep for her nap today. i hope she sleeps in tomorrow.

forgot to bring the camera to adie's 2nd birthday party, but wren had lots of fun. adie had all kinds of cool stuff setup in her back yard. a water pool, a tent and tunnel tube, a sand box, a play house, sidewalk chalk on a giant piece of cardboard, and even a mini-bouncy house.

Reading with grandma Lynn

She could almost do it by herself. She was good at it on the hill downward not so much on the hill up.

sweet tart 29 weeks

Here we are!  29 weeks… almost 3/4 there!

trip to the park before bed

bedtime

Our sweet girl trying to fall asleep… she was just singing to herself and started getting quiet…

epicnic…. mroz style

So, we decided to have a picnic at marc's work which involved us going through a drive through and eating in one of the fancy conference rooms overlooking the waterfall.  Marc said that they had a beach, but it was more gravel and the water was kinda murky… but wren still liked throwing rocks in it and she told us she was 'writing her name' in the sand (and was spelling it out loud).  Marc and wren played in the water and I sat on the rocks and dipped my feet.  Wren had a lot of fun and didn't want to leave!

no more mohawk = lemonhead

I mowed the hawk for marc this morning and now he looks like a lemonhead.

Still loves hanging!

grocery car…

I was pretty excited that wren wanted to ride in the car cart at the store.  I've been having problems shopping with her lately and this way she got in the cart without complaining and was so happy!  It was short lived though.. she could easily climb out and decided anytime I stopped that she had to get out and 'help' me.

the clay fort lives!

the clay fort i built on the beach at lake michigan lived on and i guess some super hero moved in. i hope some people had fun playing with it. i had fun making it. using clay to make a castle is way better than sand, it lasts longer.

Coloring

Wren told me she wanted to color and sat by herself coloring for at least five minutes (a long time for her!). I asked what she made and she said ‘mal’… I asked is she meant Jamal and she said ‘Yes!’

book before bed

before we put wren to bed we always read a few books, sing the "good night wren elena" song (written by heather), pray, and then say good bye to the outside.

quadruple thumbs up!

We had a great time during our long weekend in Michigan.  A big thank you to Grandpa Jim for renting such an awesome house with extra room for us all.  Marc's clay castle tower grew into a fortress and the tower from yesterday hardened so he's hoping that some other kids will come and have fun playing with his creation.

more lake michigan fun

we tried for a mud family picture but wren got really upset and didn’t want the mud on her and started crying that heather was dirty. which is weird because we tested the mud on her in the morning before her nap and she was fine with it for the most part. oh well. sweettart has a good mud picture though.

lake michigan

this morning was rainy and overcast. we had a nice walk on the beach. the afternoon was sunny and wren loved the water. this is really the first time she has enjoyed going in any kind of water besides the shower or a bucket of water.
