z still doesn't walk very much but he could if he wanted to!
Z took his first steps tonight! He was walking back and forth from me to marc and then to wren. Hopefully we will be able to take a video in the next couple days!
At lunch z kept signing for more. He had such a big smile while he was doing it!
in the last week or so z has been getting really good at creeping and sort of crawling. he is moving all around now!
z is 6 months old today, and he got to try solid food for the first time. he had a bit of pear. we couldn’t really tell if he liked it or not. he didn’t make any weird faces so i’m guessing he mostly liked it.
I’ve never seen someone so happy to get out of taking a nap! He was all smiles when I finally gave up trying to put him down. Oh… and he obsessed with eating his shirt.
sometimes snaps are just too much work

we are at home now with z and wren. we tried to get out of the hospital earlier but the pediatrician seemed like he wanted us to be there for at least 24 hours. it is nice to be home. hopefully our first night at home is good and we all get some sleep.

heather is enduring like a rock star and very stoic, but the pain is getting more intense. she is doubting that she can do this. but she is back in the tub and i think that is helping.
heather just got out of the tub, and is resting for a few contractions in the bed. the midwife came in to check on us and is optimistic. she wants to check heather again in an hour or so to make sure things are progressing, and so we don’t worry about it not progressing like what happened last time.
midwife checked heather, 90% effaced, 4 cm dilated, -1 station.
heather’s mom, dad, and sister are here now.
